Out like a lion

Can you believe it was 83° Wednesday?! The ice storm caught me off guard and seemed the perfect weather for a comforting and satisfying CREAMY TOMATO BASIL SOUP. Happy St. Patrick's Day. Have a safe & happy day.

Chili Day

Fabulous chili in the soup spot today. With this incredible weather, I venture this will be the last chili for a while. Carma's Cafe gazpacho has a large (and loud) following - much to my surprise. This juicy liquid salad will be back on the menu before too long.

Good New, Bad New

Well, the good news is that it's Spring Break and there are no long lines or waiting for tables. Of course the bad news is there are no long lines or waiting for a table!

Today's soup is Classic Creamy Mushroom. Glancing across the counter, we have bags of Woof Treats for our canine customers, chocolate dipped apricots, banana bread and of course the pastry case is chock full of cookies.

Bring your knitting or take the pooch for a walk; come by and enjoy the weather on the terrace.

Today we blog....

Looking for an easy way to communicate daily specials, soups, etc. with customers I decided to give blogging a try. It's not a perfect solution, but worth a try.

Today is Michael's Classic Creamy Mushroom Soup. It's a cafe favorite. And the pastry case is sporting Snickerdoodles! My guess is the Snickerdoodle will replace Molasses Crinkles for spring. So you Crinkle fans might want to take advantage of the few remaining days until spring pushes thoughts of dark, spicey cookies from my mind.
