Just got a missive from our CSA partners at One Straw Farm that the strawberries are ripening early so this afternoon I'm making a special trip to pick up some berries. Maybe tomorrow at the cafe we'll have trifle - one of my favorite early summer desserts. It might be a good time to work out my small batch strawberry jam recipe or make homemade ice cream. Or a Strawberry Spinach Salad with a sweet poppy seed vinaigrette. Then again maybe just dishes of berries drizzled in cream.
Oh my, the possibilities are almost endless.
